Apple has announced officially that it’s March 9th event, “Spring Forward”, will be streaming live. It will be available for streaming on Apple’s website and the direct link to the page can be found at www.apple.com/live.
The event will start at 10am PDT (1pm here in Trinidad and Tobago), and as usual, to stream the event requires Safari 5.1.10 or later on OS X v10.6.8 or later and Safari on iOS 6.0 or later. It will also be available for streaming on using the Apple TV but it requires the 2nd or 3rd-generation Apple TV with software 6.2 or later.
What to Expect:
We will most likely see the Apple Watch in this event. We have already seen the device, but there are still some mysteries surrounding it such as the pricing and availability for different colors and configurations as well as band colors and materials, battery life information, accessories and more.
Another device that is rumored to show it’s face as well is the long awaited 12-inch MacBook Air with Retina Display. There were rumors that we might see the device in early 2015, so the March event seems to fit into the correct timeline.
Things We Can Hope For:
There are a LOT of things rumored that we can hope to see at this event. These include refreshes to the current 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air and although a bit unlikely but updated Mac Pros maybe?
Other rumors have suggested that Apple might be working on implementing TouchID in the new MacBook Air and that we might also see revamped peripherals (Magic Mouse/Magic Trackpad) to support this as well.
Rumors of the iPad Pro have been going around as well, but I highly doubt that we will see this device at this event.
What are you hoping to see in this Apple event? Feel free to let us know in the comments!
