Almost one month after the launch of the September 9th Apple event (iPhone 6 and 6 Plus), Apple is already sending out more invites for another event. “It’s been way too long” is the first thing we notice when we see the October 16th Apple event inviration.
A lot can be expected at this event like new iPads, iMacs, iPad Minis, OS X Yosemite and more. We’ve all been hearing about these a while now, but we’ll only know for sure at the event.
The new iPad models, according to some leaks, should be 0.5mm thinner than the current iPad Air and also include the familiar TouchID Sensor. It’s about time we get TouchID on iPads! There’s also been some talk about an iPad Pro running some form of OS X/iOS? Whether it’s merged or some sort of hybrid, we are very excited for this.
If we get a new iMac model at this event, it will be very pleasing if it’s one that includes it’s own Retina Display, since it’s about time for that also.
OS X Yosemite is familiar to us as there are a lot of coverage on the beta versions all over YouTube. With Yosemite, OS X gets a visual overhaul and revamp to match iOS 7/8 and makes the entire Apple experience more unified, visually. It will also officially bring continuity and handoff with iOS 8, allowing you to leave something on any iOS/OS X device and then continue from right where you left off on another another iOS/OS X device. Spotlight search along with a lot of other features will also be improved with OS X Yosemite.
There’s also been some mentions of Mac Minis being thrown around but that’s no where close to a sure thing.
Regardless, we are very excited to see what Apple has in store for us. On October 16th, the iOS/OS X revamps will be completed and we will see exactly what Apple has to offer. Until then, all we can do is wait. Of course there will be some coverage and thoughts on the event as well as the new products and software right here and on the YouTube Channel at www.youtube.com/t3chsmash, so stay tuned for more!
