Did you recently pick up a Galaxy Note 4 for yourself? Then it’s time for you to protect your investment. After spending $500+ for a device, spending a bit more on a protective case is a good idea if you don’t mind the added bulk which can either be minimal, or on the thicker side depending on the case of your choice.
If you’re currently looking for a case but can’t settle on one, here are some that you can feel free to check out. As usual, case suggestions are nothing new here on T3CHSMASH (iPhone 6, HTC One, Galaxy S5 etc.) so here goes…
Spigen Neo Hybrid
The Spigen Neo Hybrid case is not only availble for the Galaxy Note 4, but most of the main flagship devices. It is well known for its premium and precision design as well as its elegant look and impeccable build quality.
It adds to the device without straying too far away from the original design, as well as adds a layer of protection while doing the same. If you’re looking for a case that would add protection, look great, feel awesome and add reasonable protection, definitely check out this case.
The main downside of this case for me personally, is that the material on the back attracts fingerprints a bit, but a quick wipe will get rid of them. However, the back of the Note 4’s version isn’t the smooth material like the other devices so this shouldn’t be a problem.
Spigen Premium Matte Finish Hard Case
Made by Spigen again, this is a more simplistic, less bulky case for your Galaxy Note 4. It has the soft touch back material (similar to the back of the black Nexus 5), and has the necessary cutouts for the buttons, micro USB charging port and speaker.
However, this case doesn’t have much “lay on the table” protection, since it’s really thin and just snaps onto the sides of the device.
iRainy Clear-View Case
This specific case comes in red, black or white. It’s also made of hard plastic as well as TPU.
The device is surrounded by the black/red/white TPU material, which also has a lip that provides a lay on the table design unlike the previous case on this list. The clear, hard plastic material is at the back with a hardness of 2H, and also reveals the original design of the device.
Overall, this case provides a reasonable amount of protection, while still retaining the original design of the Galaxy Note 4.
i-Blason Prime Series Dual Layer
If you’re looking for something a bit more on the protective side, then this might be the case for you. the i-Blason provides dual layer protection, while also giving you a kickstand as well as a holster.
The inner layer is made of thick silicone, which is then covered by the hard plastic outer shell. The four silicone on the four corners of the case is also twice as thick as the rest for additional protection. This provides a great level of shock absorbtion and allows for a more sturdy feel in hand as well.
Of course this is no Otterbox, but I think it’s a great balance between normal cases and Otterbox cases, while providing extra additions such as the holster and kickstand.
