Both the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus were officially released and they include a slight spec bump as well as TouchID improvements, iOS 8 with a lot more functionality, the device itself is a lot thinner and some other general improvements. However, something has been happening a lot since day 1, which makes some question the durability of the iPhone 6.
Multiple reports of broken iPhone 6 and 6 Plus devices keep surfacing. Now of course this is mainly due to the phone falling or dropping, but it seems that it is being broken much easier than the previous generations. The glass covering the screen is very good at resisting scratches as scuffs, but when coming to impacts, apparently it doesn’t hold up too well.
Take a look at the following drop tests and iPhone 6 durability tests below by other tech YouTubers and judge for yourself. Suprisingly, in one of the videos, both iPhones are perfectly fine after dropping them on the back, front and side. However, as for the rest, the news isn’t as good.

If you’re going to get the iPhone 6/6 Plus or if you already have one, I think it will be a good idea to invest in a good quality protective case. They are very easy to find on Amazon and relatively inexpensive.
