Earlier this year when Android Wear was launched, we saw the LG G Watch, Samsung Gear Live and the Moto 360. Since then, we have seen the G Watch as well as the Gear Live available to purchase and put to use. The one that everyone is eagerly awaiting is the Moto 360 due to it’s elegant look because of it’s rounded face. However, this watch isn’t currently available as yet.
While still waiting on the Moto 360, apparently LG saw the hype that a rounded Android Wear watch recieved, and decided to offer their own rounded Android Wear smartwatch called the LG G Watch R. This watch is directly aimed at the Moto 360 and it’s very obvious in the teaser video (linked below), as there was a distinct part of the video dedicated to emphasizing their perfectly circle design while the Moto 360 had a minor bezel at the bottom of the screen for the internals. This shot in the video showed a circle somewhat shaped like a Moto 360 with the words “Feel The Gap” in the center, which was then stretched to be a perfect circle.
Most of the LG G Watch R information has been hidden until its release at IFA 2014 in berlin next week. Take a look at the video for yourself below and feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments.
