The original Moto X was a gamechanger back in August 2013, proving that hardware isn’t everything. With a dual core CPU and a 720p display, the original Moto X delivered solid performance with a great user experience since it was close to stock Android. In addition to this, the ability to customize every single aspect of the device made it stand out from the competition, allowing customers to really ‘make it their own’.
Motorola built upon this in September of 2014, with the Moto X 2014. This device sported a 5″ 1080p display, upgraded internals and a slightly different design. One of the things that Moto X 2014 was widely known for was the bamboo back material. However, this device was just as solid as it’s 2013 version, if not better.
Not too long ago, some specs claiming to be those of the upcoming 2015 Moto X were leaked. There’s no telling how legit these leaks are, but they sound amazing. This post on Pocketnow goes into the situation a bit deeper, but the Moto X is ‘supposedly’ rumored to be sporting a 5.2″ QHD AMOLED display and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808. There’s no knowing if they decided to go with the Snapdragon 808 instead of the Snapdragon 810 because of the claims of overheating issues that we’ve heard from some other companies, however the all new LG G4 also sports the Snapdragon 808 as well, so that should count for something. Of course it would be running Android 5.1.1 out of the box, and we are also hearing of a 16 megapixel rear facing sensor with an accompanying 5 megapixel front facing counterpart, a huge 3280mAh battery, and the most amazing of the leaked specs, a whopping 4GB Ram.
These leaked specs are nothing short of a powerhouse and if these turn out to be the real specs of the 2015 Moto X, it will most definitely be an extremely impressive device. If you would like to know more about these leaked specs, feel free to check out the original post at Pocketnow.
